Super nice park staff, offered lots of Intel while we waited out the rain. Manatee spot near by offers both wildlife and full sky views of the stars at night. Not too busy and the have a store for souvenir things but not much in the way of food or beverages, so think about bringing along some stuff if you are here for a while.
Excellent welcome center with knowledgeable and engaged staff. Learned so much about this to enjoy and protect the park.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff who can both inform and suggest to you things to do. The building has nice displays and informative movies. The location has a small gift shop, bathrooms, and a nice boardwalk which, I'm told, you can see manatees and other wildlife quite frequently during the dry season.
In many travel websites this gets overshadowed by Everglades NP but definitely make this a stop on your trip. There are options for everyone - from short beautiful boardwalks to intrepid trails into the backcountry and so much to see from a Canoe and kayak as well. Stop by or call one of the visitor centers, they're knowledgeable and will help you maximize your time while visiting.
I've been here a couple of times. It is a great place when on vacation. Always see lots of gators, birds and other wuldlife. The volunteer guides are knowledgeable and anxious to help.
