Hey most beautiful part. You would never think that the sights here exist in Florida. I am always so amazed at how beautiful this Natural Area is and located so close to my home in Hollywood.
Beautiful park with nice trails. The limestone floor on some trails would make for a potentially dangers situation if you are not a strong hiker. If you lead the way you will be fine because the water is crystal clear but if you are following the water gets cloudy and you can't see where to step.
I love the drive down Highway 41 through the Everglades and swamps. So much wildlife to see, even along that busy road. It's a really nice drive.
I lived in Florida for a couple of years and never made this drive through the everglades. Only thing I wish could have been better was if we made it through in the daytime.
